1987年生まれ。東北芸術工科大学大学院芸術工学研究科専攻彫刻領域修了。現在、宮城県在住。

⚪︎作家コメント
私の作品は全てが自刻像（ポートレート）です。その時々の自分を犬の姿で表現しています。私は自分の考えや内面性を解像度高く具現化する方法として犬の姿を借りることが最も適していると考えます。様々な自分自身を形にすることは、嘘偽りなく自分自身と対話することです。私は私自身と向き合う際に、犬のように情熱的で自由で愛情深くありたいと考えています。私の作品は、私を見つめる私自身でもあります。傍にいたり、離れていたりしながら、私を見守っている存在を作り続けているのかもしれません。


⚪︎お取り扱いの際の注意点
・直射日光の当たる場所はお控えください。
・密封すると木が呼吸できなくなり、カビの原因となります。風通しの良いところに保管ください。
・エアコンの直下は、急激な乾燥の原因となりますのでお控えください。
・強く擦らないようご注意ください。

Misato Sano | Sculptor
Born in 1987. Graduated from the Graduate School of Arts and Engineering at Tohoku University of Art and Design, majoring in sculpture. Currently based in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.

Artist's Statement
All of my works are self-portraits. I express myself in the form of a dog, reflecting who I am at any given moment. I believe that using the form of a dog is the most suitable way to embody my thoughts and inner self with high resolution.
Shaping different aspects of myself allows me to engage in an honest dialogue with who I am. When facing myself, I aspire to be passionate, free, and loving—just like a dog. My works represent myself gazing back at me.
Perhaps, by creating these pieces, I am continuously crafting a presence that watches over me, whether close by or from afar.

Handling Instructions
- Avoid placing the artwork in direct sunlight.
- Do not seal it in an airtight space, as the wood needs to breathe. Lack of airflow may lead to mold. Store it in a well-ventilated area.
-Please avoid placing it directly under air conditioning units, as they may cause rapid drying.
- Be careful not to rub the surface too harshly.
